Very fast. Too fast life. The world, that changes every second in every corner of this Universe. It doesn’t leave you any chance to have rest. You should run, run, run… Up to the end. But is it our life? Real beautiful life with all its wonders and mysteries. Or just a competition between blind people, who notice nothing. You should decide, what to choose.
Stop.
Respire.
Look around yourself.
What do you see? The fog goes away, all the masks are ripped off. You can see your real life. Is it a bright world with the shining sun and friends around you or is it a dry desert with a disgusting smell of death? Give the honest answer to yourself. What is living? For many people living is enjoying life. We can enjoy sunshine, nature and freedom of self-expression. We can enjoy sharing with other people. I agree with the ideas of famous American photographer Ansel Adams who hoped that his photos would encourage self-expression in others and stimulate the search for beauty and creative excitement in the great world around us.
It all started when I was turning 13 years old. Some friends of mine advised me to install a well-known app – Instagram – on my mobile phone. It was amazing! I found lots of people with brilliant photography skills and I started to follow their weblogs. Since that time I’ve been slowly getting the shared ideas of what photography is. The Most Important Lesson My Life Has Taught Me

Once I read in a magazine for teenagers: A 5-year-old girl says ‘My mum knows everything’. A fifteen-year-old girl says ‘My mum doesn’t know anything’. A twenty-year-old girl says ‘Oh, my! I should have done what my mum always told me’.
Of course, you may say that when you are twenty years old, you are an adult, not a boy or a girl. But… It happens so that only at the age of twenty or thirty most people understand that their mothers are right and usually give us good advice.
One of the most valuable life lessons I've learned from my mum is how to be a good mother. Although she was very strict with me in my early childhood, she was an amazing single mother of three daughters and during that time she was able to take care of us without receiving help from anyone. During the workshop we’ll talk about what constitutes teaching writing to young learners. We’ll try to remember the requirements in the new Federal state standards to the planned outcomes in primary education at “the Graduate will learn" and «the Graduate will have the opportunity to learn» levels. You’ll have the opportunity to share your personal experience: When do you teach writing? How? and What? And the most important, we’ll try to be in young learners’ shoes, and then think how to make the process of teaching writing more interesting.

In general, students are not in a position to be independent learners when they turn up to their first class. Instead, they need to be guided step-by-step to being able to study independently (Little, 2007: 23; Nunan, 1997: 201). The Unlock series lends itself perfectly to developing independent learning skills through both the course books and the online workbooks. Focussing on Unlock 3 Reading and Writing Skills, this workshop will look at how we can encourage students to develop their independent learning skills thereby helping them to improve their English both in the classroom environment and independently outside the classroom.
Speaker: Carolyn Westbrook is a Senior Lecturer in English as a Foreign Language at Southampton Solent University. She runs the International Foundation Year, which is a one-year preparatory language and academic skills course for non-native speakers of English who want to study for a degree at a UK university. She also runs a course in TEFL. She has over 20 years’ experience of teaching General, Business and Academic English and is a teacher trainer who gives teacher development seminars both in the UK and abroad. She has an MA in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching and is CELTA and DELTA qualified. Her main research interests are in the areas of teaching and assessing Academic Writing.

It’s beyond question that all people are different. They live in different countries and speak different languages. But there is one thing that unites us all – a wish to be HAPPY. Everyone wants to be happy, to be among their nearest and dearest, to be loved and respected by them. How can happiness be achieved?
It’s really a complicated question. Just living is not enough – eating, doing everyday chores, raising children, making money… All men have their own way of perceiving and estimating the world. We all have to explore and find the true zest of our life – a little flower that makes our lives brighter, full of sense and meaning.
